Team Fly Adventure had a great time in Ecuador for Acrolatino 2008.

The event started with SIV courses taught by Lucho (Fly Adventure Peru) and Jorge (Fly Ecuador) where a group of pilots had the opportunity to test their limits and learn from the best in a safe environment.

All pilots were equipped with a paraglider, harness with back protection, emergency reserve, radios, and life jackets and if needed, we’re rescued by the firemen of Ibarra. Everyone had a great time and after their experience felt able and enthusiastic to compete in the Acrolatino Acro Competition!

The competition started on the 14th with a great display of acrobatic manoeuvres from some of the most talented pilots in South America.

ACROLATINO 2008 – 6th Edition of the ULTIMATE Paragliding Acromeeting in South America

The event will be held in November, reuniting many pilots from all over the world with a passion for free flight, paragliding and Acro! This is a great opportunity to enjoy flying in Ibarra, meet pilots, share experiences, new techniques and watch some of the best Acro pilots as they demonstrate their abilities, test their limits and compete in their chosen category.

The meeting point will be the famous Yahuarcocha Lake. Here we watch the energy of each pilot as their passion and emotion produce pure adrenaline and breath taking manoeuvres!

ACOLATINO 2008 will be held the 14th, 15th and 16th of November including 3 days of Paragliding Acro Competition in 2 distinct categories:
- JUNIOR (Beginner)
- ELITE (Advanced)

Interested in testing your own limits? Why not join us for our SIV and Acro Courses which will be held before and after the competition! This is a fantastic chance to learn from the best in a safe and controlled environment.

The use of specially adapted handles is a reality in acrobatic paragliding, this technique is now spreading into cross-country flying as well. The problem has been studied by the NIVIUK gliders team, to give an answer to the needs of the acro and cross country pilots’ demand. They have the same problem but different needs.

The handle NIVIUK proposes is the Cross-Country version.
